SAZOBACT 1.5GM Injection is used in the treatment of abdominal infections, urinary tracts infection and many respiratory disorders.

How Does The SAZOBACT 3GM Work?

Cefoperazone is bactericidal and antibiotic in nature.

Sulbactum is a beta- lactamase inhibitor drug it functions by creating an irreversible inactivation of β-lactamases.

 

Uses

The combination drug has been potentially used to treat bacterial infections and conditions of infections.

SAZOBACT 3GM is useful in treatment, control and prevention of the diseases and conditions like:

Meningitis

Gynecological infections

Urinary tract infections

Respiratory tract infections

Bone and joint infections

Skin and soft tissue infections

Septicaemia

Intra-abdominal infections

Peritonitis

Endometritis

Surgical infections

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Cefoperazone Sulbactam Side Effects

 

In pre-existing medical conditions, allergy conditions or cases of an overdose the drug may cause side effects like:

ü Rashes

ü Fever

ü Nausea, and Vomiting

ü Haematological – Slight decreases in Hemoglobin concentration or Hematocrit value

ü Skin reactions

ü Diarrhoea or loose stools

ü Eosinophilia

ü Urticaria, and pruritus

ü Increase in serum levels of SGOT, SGPT, and alkaline phosphatase concentrations

ü Elevations in BUN and serum creatinine concentrations

ü GIT problems

In cases of side effects the person must immediately consult a medical practitioner or the concerned doctor.

 

Safety Advice:

Consuming alcohol while taking SAZOBACT 3GM Injection may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

SAZOBACT 3GM Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy.

SAZOBACT 3GM Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

It is not known whether SAZOBACT 3GM Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
