Gefitide Tablet

USED IN THE TREATMENT OF :

NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER

Gefitide is used in patients in which nonsmall cell lung cancer has spread to other parts of the body, who have abnormal epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) genes, and In patients who have not had previous cancer treatment.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.

WARNINGS

• Gefitide is probably unsafe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Gefitide may make you feel weak. This may affect your driving ability.
• Gefitide should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease.
• Gefitide is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease.
